Glenelg Country School is seeking a full-time Technology Support Specialist to provide technical assistance and support to faculty and staff. Responsibilities include general computer and printer maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting and repairing school-owned computer systems; using management software to deploy software and updates; installing, configuring, and upgrading PC workstations, network hardware, and cabling as required; the configuration and deployment of Windows operating systems using imaging software; providing technical support to end users; the configuration and deployment of virus and malware detection and removal software; managing the computer equipment on campus; and maintaining inventory and documentation.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience with MS Windows and MS Office; proven trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills; scripting knowledge preferred; Experience with the following platforms is a plus: MS Windows 2008/2012 Server, Windows Defender, Active Directory/Group Policy, Dell Kace K1000/2000 series appliances, TCP/IP/Networking and VPNs, VMware Virtual Environments, Office 365, knowledge of the Microsoft OS, MDM, and hardware repair are required. Must be a responsible and dependable professional with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently. Applicants must be physically able to perform the essential functions of this position, which include lifting equipment weighing 25 pounds repeatedly and lifting up to 40 pounds. MCP certification and/or BS are desired.
