The Evergreen School, an independent school from Preschool through Grade 8 serving highly capable students, is currently accepting applications for a Technology Analyst. The school is located in Shoreline, Washington, approximately half a mile north of the city of Seattle and is fully accredited by NWAIS (Northwest Association of Independent Schools). The Technology Analyst assists faculty, staff and students with technical support of desktop and laptop computers, applications and related technology. Support will include specifications, installation and testing of computer systems and peripherals within established guidelines. The Technology Analyst also assists in the maintenance and testing of network servers and associated equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist staff with the installation, configuration and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment and software.
  • Troubleshoot system problems, diagnose and solve hardware/software issues and find solutions to problems.
  • Work with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop and laptop computing equipment and software.
  • Talk staff/clients through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone.
  • Respond to call-outs in a timely fashion.
  • Provide support to other members of the technology office.
  • Test and evaluate new technology.
  • Replace parts as required.
  • Work with members of the technology office to purchase hardware and software.
  • Help to assess functional needs to determine specifications for purchases.
  • Provide excellent customer service experience for end users.
  • Oversee the CMS, LMS and digital interface with Blackbaud. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather information required for the school's digital platforms. Respond to these needs by building forms and pages as directed by various school departments.
  • Coordinate technical issues with Blackbaud and other vendors regarding the CMS, LMS and digital interface.
  • Other duties as required.

Required Skills and Background

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of experience in network design and management
  • Competency with repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of PC-based computer systems (especially laptops) and software such as Windows and Office
  • Proficient with A/V equipment, wiring, connections, and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of TCP/IP networking principles including managed network switches, VLANs and firewalls
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to maintain a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Works effectively and relates well with others, including superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the school
  • Can be depended on to report to work at the scheduled time, and can complete work in a timely, accurate and thorough manner

Desired Skills and Background

  • A background in an educational setting is highly desired
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory
  • Experience with Google apps, Chromebooks and Android phones/tablets
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Experience with VoIP phones
  • Familiarity with Blackbaud

Physical Requirements

  • Lift 25-50 lbs.
  • Work on knees for extended periods of time
  • Spend a large amount of time using a keyboard and mouse

Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s background and experience and will be competitive with similar positions in Seattle area independent schools. The position is open immediately.
