Purpose: 
The Technology Assistant is essentially a mobile help desk. Priorities are to keep classroom technology in working order to minimize any interruptions to a teacher’s lesson, address technology issues in staff offices, and setup requested technology for meetings. 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work and interact with a diverse group of faculty and staff.
  • Self-motivated, flexible and detail oriented.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Google Apps, Microsoft and Apple operating systems, iOS devices and Chromebooks; basic understanding of networking. Ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Solid problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.  
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development and life-long learning

Essential Functions:
Support and maintain all campus technology equipment and software.

  • Assist with new equipment deployment.
  • Set up and install computers, monitors, printers, scanners, and peripherals.
  • Install, upgrade, or repair software and hardware components.
  • Troubleshoot and repair desktops, notebooks, tablets, printers, peripherals, and other related devices.
  • Provide timely and efficient technology support to administration, faculty and staff.
  • Provide basic technology support to all campus users and refer complex issues to the Director of Technology.
  • Provide AV support for meetings, webinars and conference calls.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
