Position Summary:
The Technology Associate is responsible for providing daily technology support and training to faculty, staff, and students, and for helping implement the school’s educational technology needs. This role requires strong communication skills, a solutions-focused mindset, and a genuine enjoyment of working in a school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage Google Workspace for Education

  • Administer and maintain the school’s Google domain (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Chromebooks, and mobile access)
  • Provide support and training for Google Workspace and Google Classroom to employees across the organization
  • Ensure school digital assets are secure

Hardware & Software

  • Manage and maintain hardware inventory: MacBooks, Chromebooks, iPads, Apple TVs, printers, and accessories
  • Support educational software usage and licensing across programs
  • Recommend the purchase of annual tech equipment
  • Renew software purchases as needed and track users

Technology Support

  • Offer timely and effective tech support for faculty, staff, and students
  • Support schoolwide technology projects and A/V needs
  • Determine and promote best practices for tech usage across the organization

Network & Operational Systems

  • Serve as a liaison with outsourced network maintenance provider
  • Manage servers and back up systems of schools data
  • Support outside consultant to manage school’s Filemaker databases
  • Provide technical support for school operational systems (security cameras, phone system, etc.)
  • Work to ensure a secure digital environment 

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Technology or Information Systems preferred)
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace for Education, including domain administration
  • Proficiency with Apple products, iOS, Chromebooks, and general office equipment
  • Experience in IT support and customer service
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to providing excellent support in a school setting
  • Ability to lift and move equipment (10–25 lbs) and respond to physical demands of the job

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with FileMaker Pro
  • Experience with network/intranet systems and A/V equipment
  • Experience working in a school environment
