The Technology Coach will work as a colleague with classroom teachers to support student learning and growth (grades 9-12). This Coach will focus on individual and group professional development to refine instruction focused on student growth through personalized and differentiated instruction.  The Coach will promote teacher innovation and reflection.  In order to meet this purpose, the Technology Coach will provide personalized support based on the goals and identified needs of teachers, both individually and in small groups.

Schedule is school year plus 15 additional days.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or related experience
  • Min. 3-5 years experience in High School Education (ex. Teacher, Administrator)
  • Demonstrated and proven knowledge of Educational Technology

Key responsibilities and accountabilities: 
1.    Perform appropriate tasks as assigned by the technology coach department head in coordination of building administrators. 
2.    Assist the technology coaching team with designing and implementing technology professional development, device management, identifying, selecting, and developing resources to support learning.
4.    Meet on a regular basis with the US principal, and instructional technology team. 
5.    Participates in meetings, workshops and/or trainings for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions.
6.    Establishes, maintains and enhances effective communication with administrators, teachers, parents and other stakeholders. 
7.    Observes teachers in their classrooms and offers insights for the enhancement of instructional technology teaching-learning situations. 
8.    Actively meets with teachers to plan the integration of technology into core instruction.
9.    Instruct and support teachers with curriculum hardware, software, & traditional resources, and classroom/curriculum/instructional related technologies and practices.
10.    Encourage ongoing professional growth for all teachers through the development of a Professional Learning Network.
11.    When appropriate, leads class instruction in support of curricular objectives.
12.    Co-teach and model lessons as needed.  
13.    Maintains and instructs students in a computer lab/innovator space(s).  
14.    Facilitates the use of research-based instructional technology teaching strategies and best practices to address the needs of teachers, students, and school goals.
15.    Performs other duties related to the improvement of student achievement.
