Madison Country Day School, a PK-12 IB World School, seeks an experienced candidate for a Technology Coordinator position to oversee the school’s technological hardware, software, networks, and infrastructure.   The Technology Coordinator plays a key role to manage, evaluate, configure, test, install, and support computer and network related hardware and software. Some specific responsibilities include:

 

Plans, installs and tests servers, personal computer and laptop operating systems, hardware, and related peripherals.
Works with school constituents to troubleshoot problems and resolve simple to complex computer hardware problems, application issues and network related problems.
Installs computer applications and specialized software applications used by MCDS.
*Manages Google for Education platform.
Developing and leading professional development programs for faculty and staff to provide training on available technologies and software.
Oversees and supports MCDS’ School-wide Information System (Blackbaud)
Develops and implements process improvements that have a positive impact on information technologies.
Manages computer network administration including such items as establishing and maintaining network addresses, disk allocation, and backup procedures.
Develops and implements strategies and standards to maintain the stability and security of computer and network platforms.
Maintains documentation of computer configurations, software licensing and hardware status.

Our ideal candidate will have five (5) years of increasing responsibility performing computer and network support, troubleshooting, problem resolution, installation and systems management of computer environments. Additionally, a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Information Systems or a related field; OR an associate's degree plus an additional two (2) years of related work experience; or a high school diploma (GED) plus an additional four (4) years or related work experience is required. Strong working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Google Suite, Blackbaud or similar student information systems, computer networking, Microsoft application software.   Strong interpersonal communications skills and professionalism; the ability to write technical documentation, procedures and correspondence; the ability to analyze and evaluate client needs and requirements and develop appropriate solutions are a must.
