Summary/Objective

The Ancona School is seeking a Technology Coordinator. This position is hands-on and will involve supporting and training teachers, staff, and students in their daily use of technology. In addition, the Technology Coordinator will work with teachers to integrate technology into the classroom curriculum, and will provide some direct technology instruction to students. MacOS and G Suite (Google Apps) experience are musts.

Tech Support:

  • Respond to ticket requests made by faculty and staff in a timely and professional manner
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
  • Deploy software, and maintain software deployment system
  • Support/deploy fleet of MacOS computers and iPads
  • Support Chromebooks
  • Support Windows computers
  • Troubleshoot network issues
  • Troubleshoot network printers and copiers
  • Support use of G Suite among students, teachers and staff
  • Add/change network accounts and passwords
  • Create and maintain various student & faculty accounts
  • Perform School Information System (SIS) and progress report system maintenance
  • Assist Director of Technology in other duties

Technology Integration:

  • Identify curricular units that would benefit from the use of technology
  • Ensure outcomes as laid out in the Tech Scope & Sequence
  • Introduce tech into curricular units by teaching students directly
  • Train teachers on the use of technology
  • Gradually “hand off” units to teachers once technology has been successfully adopted

Physical Demands

  • Lifting up to 25 pounds

Work Environment

  • None. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work.)

Required Education and Experience

Associate’s degree and work experience in a related field

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Degree in related field
  • Familiarity with educational apps, sites, and learning tools
  • G Suite for Education
  • Mac/PC hardware repair
  • Coding and/or programming
  • Web development, including HTML
  • Video production, including use of green screen
  • Desktop publishing
  • Photography & Image manipulation
  • Familiarity with “Maker lab” technologies (3D printing, robotics, etc)
  • MS Excel
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • MacOS Server
  • iOS
  • iPad app deployment
  • Experience imaging or deploying software
  • Any technical certifications
  • Courses in computer science
