Principal Functions:

The Technology Coordinator works as a resource person in the management of technology and technical support services, providing computer assistance, network administration, installation and user information, and ongoing user assistance. The Technology Coordinator will be responsible for the digital distribution of school grades and progress reports. This individual will also assist with the technical needs of the Advancement Office, especially in preparation for the Annual Benefit Luncheon.

Role Relationships:

This individual will report to the President and the Principal and work closely with administrators, faculty, staff, and students.

Responsibilities:

· Oversee the maintenance and repair of technology as necessary

· Responsible for technology inventory, repair records, maintaining a resource catalog of software, materials, and plans for replacement and/or upgrade of technology

· Coordinate the design, implementation, utilization, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the school’s network and infrastructure, including servers, routers, phone system, and other peripherals

· Manage the MS Active Directory (log ins)

· Assume responsibility for networking and maintenance of hardware capabilities with the school system

· Manage and supervise the student computer lab

· Oversee and assist with audiovisual and other technical needs of school events

· Maintain system physical security and data backups

· Manage the school’s one-to-one iPad program

· Maintain and update the school’s website

· Solicit and confirm grade data entry from faculty

· Check and send grades and progress reports electronically to families

· Advise Principal regarding the purchase of material for the implementation and improvement of instructional technology resources.

· Advise and assist in the development and training programs on the utilization of technology equipment

· Serve as a consultant to the school to develop skills and new knowledge in technology.

· Assist administration, faculty and staff with hardware use, connectivity, and/or problems including, but not limited to, computer workstations, laptops, printers, iPads, scanners, and televisions

· Assist the president and principal in implementing the use of technology by the faculty

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, data processing, computer information, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, or mathematics

· Experience with Macintosh and Microsoft PC platforms and hardware and software

· Knowledge of Internet technologies and multimedia systems

· Experience in a multiple server environment a plus

· Ability to perform data recovery

· Familiarity with Administrators Plus, Teachers Plus, and Greater Giving Software a Plus

· Ability to handle simultaneous requests for help

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
