Giddens School is looking for an experienced Technology Coordinator. This individual is responsible for maintaining and improving our school’s technology infrastructure, providing support to staff and faculty in the use of technology, and working with upper grade students on becoming digital citizens.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Support administrators and non-teaching staff in the use of technology and technology-based systems, responding in a timely fashion to their needs.

  • Maintain technology hardware & software (ex. computers, AV systems, copiers/printers)

  • Oversee network infrastructure, including telecommunication systems, security as well as user accounts, G-suite, and other internal systems

  • Oversee setup and breakdown of all technology needs for school events such as projectors and sound equipment

  • Collaborate with and support the Director of Institutional Advancement to ensure the website is functional for all users

  • Manage Blackbaud student database system and create and support tools for communication, progress reports, and data collection

User Management and Support:

  • Establish and maintain a help-desk for all employees to easily access and request support;

  • Provide help-desk support to all users in a timely manner;

  • Develop and maintain a ‘reference desk’ of written operating instructions, accessible by users for frequent support requests;

  • Assess user needs, research and recommend purchases for all technology assets for the organization;

  • Maintain and troubleshoot devices and systems, hardware, and software/applications; repair or arrange for repair of equipment

  • Maintain and expand the email systems and file servers as needed to meet the needs of the organization;

  • Maintain and troubleshoot the telecommunications system, as needed;

  • Collaborate with the academic technology team to plan hardware, software, and training resources for teachers and students;

  • Set up and maintain user accounts, permissions and passwords

QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and a background in technology support and systems and/or educational technology. High proficiency with Google Dashboard and Google Apps and Apple products required. Possess strong interpersonal, verbal, or written communication skills. Be comfortable working with adults and students K-5 around technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong inclination to learn and problem solve on the job. We are an active faculty and we are looking for positive, pro-active people to join our staff.

SALARY/BENEFITS:
Pay for this position is $30/hr.
