Responsible for:

  • Extracting, Transforming and Loading Data out of and into various Educational Software programs (e.g. iTCCS, Clever, Microsoft School Data Sync, Pearson EasyBridge and others). 

  • Designing, enhancing and maintaining the district’s automated data programs. 

  • Ensuring the daily functioning of Student and Employee Data Injection for continuing Software functionality.

Qualifications: 

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or other related field

  • Experience working technology in a public school system

Special Knowledge/Skills

    • Extensive knowledge of Sql Server Integration Services, PowerShell Active Directory and Sql Server Modules, Task Scheduler scripting, Sql Server Agent Scripting, and Database querying - mandatory.

    • Knowledge of Office 365 Administration - mandatory

    • Knowledge of Active Directory Group Policy Administration - mandatory

    • Knowledge of Windows File System Security - mandatory

    • Proficiency with web programming languages used on district sites (e.g., Javascript, C#, HTML, ASP.NET, CSS) and other Web-based technologies - a plus

    • Ability to detect, analyze, and solve technical problems

    • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

    Experience:

    • 5 years of related programming experience

     

    Major Responsibilities and Duties:

    Data Base Administration

    • Update, Maintain and Debug Nightly Data Extraction from State Databases.

    • Update, Maintain and Debug Nightly Data Injection to Educational Software Sites.

    • Update, Maintain and Debug Nightly Staff and Student Account Creation Scripts

    • Develop New Procedures and Scripts to Automate New Software Data Requirements

    • Consult with management to evaluate and implement tools and methods to deploy district information on the Internet and intranet.

    • Recommend network, server, and related equipment, and software upgrades and improvements.

    • Assist in the development, documentation, and communication of acceptable use of electronic communications policy, regulations, and standards.

    • May train staff in the use of the Internet, intranet, or related technology.

    Security:

    • Ensure data integrity and security through appropriate protection from intruders, viruses and other potentially harmful technologies.

    • Ensure security of Staff/Student Office 365 email accounts

    Other

    • Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required.

    • Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rules, and local board policy.

    • Ability to work effectively with others in a pleasant and calming manner.

    Position is for 238 days
    Pay range based on experience in similar position
    $28.17 to $32.50 hourly
    $53,635 to $61,880 yearly

    FISD pays $235 a month towards TRS aetna Health insurance.

    Employees starting at the beginning of each school year may earn up to 5 local sick leave days and 5 state personal leave days for a total of 10 days per school year.
