Zion Christian Academy, located in Columbia, TN, is a co-educational school serving over 400 students in grades K3 through 12. The school exists to provide a Christ-centered transformational education that equips and inspires each student to glorify God by maximizing his or her God-given abilities. We have a vision to develop leaders who impact the world by glorifying Christ in every sphere of life and who become growing disciples of Christ, responsible stewards, compassionate neighbors, and courageous learners.

Zion seeks to hire a full-time Technology Director beginning in the 2020-2021 academic year. We are looking for a passionate, dynamic individual that can:

  • provide technical oversight of a multi-site enterprise level WAN, including planning, implementation/expansion, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

  • prepare and maintain documentation of network configurations and cabling layouts.

  • design, deploy, and administer the wireless infrastructure and supporting systems.

  • recommend upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment.

  • train team members on new hardware or software.

  • research and recommend approaches for system administration tasks.

  • analyze and monitor server security and implement patches and fixes to address potential security holes.

  • provide hardware and operating system support for the corporate and field computer systems environment, UNIX, Linux, Windows, and storage.

  • teach 2-3 STEM-based computer classes in an upper school setting (grades 6-12).

 

Requirements

  • A mature, living, and active faith in Jesus Christ, and membership in good standing of a local evangelical church

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field

  • An enthusiasm and calling for working in a dynamic Christian school setting

  • Provide technology/computer instruction through a biblical world and life view

  • Ability to work effectively, cooperatively, and collegially with faculty 

  • Agreement with the school’s Statement of Faith and a lifestyle consistent with Biblical teaching

  • Successfully complete a criminal background check (reviewed periodically)
