Seeking a knowledgeable, passionate, articulate, organized individual who loves teaching technology skills and ethical digital citizenship to students, faculty, and staff. The Technology Coordinator is responsible for leading on the Society’s comprehensive technology needs, offering support to faculty and staff, and providing technology education to grades one through eight. The Society includes the Princeton Montessori School, Princeton Center for Teacher Education, and SummerQuest program.

Essential Responsibilities include:

  • Anticipating the organization’s software and hardware needs and proactively recommend advancements

  • Determining best practices for computer usage and communicate those to the organization Implementing a Technology curriculum for grades 1-8, teaching weekly in each classroom, and ability to troubleshoot with students and staff as needed

  • Designing and implementing a technology professional development plan for employees.

  • Host professional development sessions for faculty and staff

  • Providing ongoing technology support and training to faculty and staff as needed

  • Supporting remote learning needs and initiatives

  • Oversight of Network Maintenance outsourced to third party

  • Provide training and support for use of Google classroom

Expertise Needed in the following areas:

  • Knowledge of Google Admin, iOS, and Macintosh platforms

  • Experience in teaching STEM and/or STEAM curriculum

  • Familiarity with current trends in technology education

  • Audio / visual technology

  • Familiarity with network and intranet systems

  • Experience working with children in an educational setting

  • Understanding of Montessori philosophy a plus!

Professional Knowledge Required:

  • Ability to understand users’ needs and troubleshoot problems in a timely and efficient manner

  • Ability to communicate effectively

  • Positive attitude and a willingness to work collaboratively

  • General office equipment knowledge (copier, fax machine, postage machine, etc.)

  • Able to manage work demands and schedule as well as set priorities

  • This position would work in tandem with our Technology Specialist, who manages hardware and software licensing, and coordinates with our network manager.
