Branksome Hall is seeking a Technology Experience Designer and Coordinator to inspire and facilitate curriculum design that integrates and enables a technology mind-set throughout the School. With strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to influence change, the Coordinator will report to the Head, Curriculum Innovation and Professional Learning and will work closely with the Director, Technology and Innovation. Leading the Senior & Middle School Technology Integration team, the successful candidate will participate as a member of the academic leadership team.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Build capacity and comfort with a varied set of technologies and tools amongst all Senior and Middle School faculty;
  • Inspire and facilitate the creative process in curriculum design across disciplines to best appeal to girls and the way they learn;
  • Play a key role in curriculum planning with a shoulder to shoulder approach;
  • Facilitate project based learning;
  • Develop a scope and sequence of learning that integrates the technology mindset across all courses, Grade 7-12;
  • Identify and facilitate opportunities for intentional planning with Senior and Middle School faculty;
  • Identify valuable professional development externally as well as design and lead teacher professional development;
  • Participate in strategic planning with both Academics and IT to chart areas of focus;
  • Collaborate with IT to deliver support to the overall curriculum experience;
  • Keep abreast of best practices, research and innovations in technology integration;
  • Lead the development and implementation of Branksome Hall’s IB Middle Years Design program;
  • Participate as a member of the academic leadership team;
  • Teach one section in either Computer Studies or Computer Engineering Technology.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Ontario Teacher’s Certificate or equivalent;
  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering;
  • Minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience;
  • Experience in Maker Space or STEAM is a strong asset;
  • Ability to influence change with all levels of stakeholders;
  • Strong relationship building and collaboration skills with the ability to work with several different teams;
  • Ability to connect scope and sequence with curriculum from SK-12;
  • Experience with IB Middle Years and Diploma Programs preferred;
  • IB experience as a member of the IB Educator Network (IBEN) an asset.
