Providence High School, Burbank, is a Catholic, private, co-educational, college-preparatory institution which endeavors to serve students of varied academic backgrounds. The school carries the mission of the Catholic Church within the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Providence High School was founded in 1955 by the Sisters of Providence and is governed by Providence St. Joseph Health. Qualifications and Description:

Providence High School offers a unique Technology Focus Program. This is a four-year program for students interested in courses such as game programming, robotics, computer science, and technology integration. The Technology Focus Program does not focus on a single area of technology, but provides a well-rounded overview into the many aspects of technology available to our students. The philosophy of the program is to expose students to many forms of technology, keeping in mind our duty as responsible global citizens.

It is preferred that applicants have teaching experience and a bachelor's degree, however, expertise in the field of technology or engineering is strongly desired. A master’s degree and/or teaching credential is preferred.

Teaching assignments may include Game Programming, Robotics, Computer Science, AP Computer Science, and Technology Integration. In assigning sections we strive to balance teachers’ preparations with their area of highest interest. Experience and qualifications to teach various areas within the field of technology is preferred.

The candidate should be a self-starter, very knowledgeable in his/her teaching field, flexible, and passionate about educating young adults. The candidate should be committed to developing and practicing cultural competence in their role as teacher and colleague. The candidate should also have experience with and be committed to developing best practices to support remote teaching and learning. Experience with project-based learning is preferred, but not required.
