Position Summary

The Technology Integration Analyst 2 is responsible for implementing and supporting complex technology-based solutions. They are part of a team with broad but related responsibilities including: 1 ) Securely delivering core technology infrastructure services such as enterprise-wide email, messaging and collaboration, 2) Providing accurate, reliable and secure solutions for enterprise-wide Identity and Access Management (IAM), 3) Designing and developing integration solutions involving complex and disparate technology services and systems, 4) Maintaining an advanced level of proficiency across many different supported technologies.

Responsibilities

 

Job Duty Function Securely deliver core technology infrastructure services by:
Job Duties/Responsibilities
  • Administering Microsoft Office 365 core tenant and services

  • Supporting, maintaining, securing and integrating core university services such as: Email services, including routing, security policy, bulk email and brand management; Cloud-based document storage and collaboration services; Instant messaging, presence, real-time collaboration services for all university employees and students

  • Developing reports and business processes for core infrastructure services

  • Monitoring core infrastructure services for uptime and availability

  • Programmatically enforcing compliance for high-risk data based on state and university requirements, in conjunction with the ITS Security Team

Position Qualifications

 

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field PLUS at least two years related experience, OR at least 4 years directly related experience

  • Experience with Windows servers and associated services including Windows Server 2008+, Active Directory, IIS

  • Experience developing solutions with scripting tools such as: PowerShell, Perl, shell scripting

  • Experience developing applications using common RDBMS services such as: Oracle, Microsoft

  • Experience with Identity and Access Management processes such as account management and lifecycle, and the associated security and compliance responsibilities

  • Experience developing web-based solutions using languages such as: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, VBScript, or ASP.NET/C#, including creating and consuming REST services

  • Understanding of industry-standard email server and client protocols such as: SMTP, POP/IMAP/MAPI/EWS/EAS, SPF/DKIM/DMARC

  • Understanding of Identity Federation using services, synchronization and protocols such as: Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), Shibboleth, Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM), Microsoft Azure AD Connect, InCommon Federation of Federation

  • Experience with desktop operating systems and office suites including Windows, Microsoft Office, macOS, and Linux

  • Experience working with version control systems such as Git

  • Must have a flexible and professional attitude towards working hours, including on-call availability outside business hours

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of, and experience administering, Microsoft Office 365 services including: Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online

  • Experience administering Unix or Linux Services in an enterprise environment including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) with technical understanding of Linux services including: Apache, Mailman, Postfix

  • Experience administering Sophos Email Appliances

  • Experience designing and deploying complex solutions and services in a large enterprise environment

  • Certifications such as: Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE); Microsoft Certified Database Administrator or Developer; Cloud Certification in Microsoft Office 365, Azure or Amazon AWS

  • Experience utilizing central logging services to find issues affecting end-users and to develop monitoring for proactive alerting

  • Experience working in a university environment
