About This Faculty Role:

HTS has an exciting opportunity for a Technology Integration Specialist to join our team.

 

The Technology Integration Specialist (TIS) is part of a team responsible for integrating information technology into teaching and learning at HTS. This position advocates for the appropriate use of technology and pedagogical best practices within the entire school curriculum. The TIS delivers curriculum in the classroom and helps develop and deliver technology-related professional development.

What You Need:

We are inviting candidates with the following qualifications to apply:

  • University degree and a Bachelor of Education

  • Ontario College of Teachers Certificate

  • At least 5 years of classroom experience.

  • Expertise and experience with a wide variety of technologies commonly used in an educational environment.

  • Experience or expertise in learner-centered instructional approaches: Project based learning, Design thinking, or Challenge based learning

  • Considerable knowledge of the Ontario curriculum and Growing Success Policies

  • An innovator’s mindset. Flexible and willing to adapt to changing structures and frameworks.

  • Experience in the independent school environment

  • Experience in adult education practices or in teaching or training adult learners.

  • Experience in working in a makerspace or with design and fabrication equipment is beneficial.

  • Has expertise with the use of a variety of hardware and software. This includes and is not limited to:

    • Apple Products, MacOS, iOS

    • Google Education Suite

    • Adobe Products (Creative Cloud)

    • CAD Design (Autodesk products)

    • Unity
