Essential Job Functions:

  • The Technology Integration Specialist is both a teaching and support position.

  • Responsible for issues relating to technology curriculum innovation, integration, instruction, and support for both staff and students at the school.

  • Assist and teach students, teachers, and staff in becoming better technology innovators.

  • Assist with new teacher training, staff training, school transitions, events, as well as other technology project assignments to be worked out with Director of Technology.

  • Solid background with technology and its applications in the classroom and school.

  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Self-motivated, nurturing, creative, self-directed and a collaborative team member.

  • Energetic personality with passion for working with children and adults.

  • As an integral part of the technology support team, this position requires flexibility and willingness to occasionally working outside of the standard faculty/school hours and school year schedule as needs arise.

Work Hours:

Position has same work schedule as that of a standard full-time teacher (~190 days) plus an additional 10 days (typically the 5 workdays before pre-planning and after post-planning)

Please note:  Summer hours beyond the 200-day Agreement is often expected and compensated for separately. This position requires the ability and willingness to handle physical labor including, but not limited to, carrying equipment, working on ladders, working outdoors, and using power tools and hand tools.

The Campus

High Meadows School sits on 42 wooded acres in Roswell.  The school is housed in several buildings spread across the two meadows on the property. We have an active barnyard on campus, serving as the home for horses, sheep, bunnies, chickens, and pigs.  Faculty and staff must be comfortable traveling between buildings in all types of weather, participating in outdoor activities on the meadows and in the forest, and intermingling with animals. 

Minimum Education/Prior Experience/Qualifications Required

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree (teaching certification preferred)

  • Experience in K-8 classroom use of instructional technology with students preferred

  • Experience with a range of software, hardware, and operating systems
