Stephen Gaynor School is an independent, special education school for bright children with learning differences ages three to fourteen. Stephen Gaynor School recently expanded to a two-building campus totaling nearly 80,000 square feet. The expansion has allowed the school to grow both academically and in the arts, reaching more children with learning differences.

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Technology Integrator/Teacher to join our dynamic team.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Director of Student Life, work with faculty to integrate technology into the curriculum.  Coordinate professional development opportunities to enhance the use of technology in the support of learning.  Create a classroom environment that develops an awareness of and proficiency in technology.
 
Responsible for the integration of technology into curriculum, including hands-on faculty training and the coordination of professional development opportunities
Teaches skills through courses in technology education to students
Responsible for collaborating with classroom teachers and specialists in order to integrate usage of our new Maker Space with hands-on content related projects
Develops lesson plans and supplementary materials compatible with Gaynor’s instructional philosophy to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student
Other responsibilities commensurate with faculty and school requirements
Qualifications

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
Teaching certification preferred
At least two years of relevant experience
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and parents
