The primary responsibility of the Technology Manager is to provide for the planning and implementation of technology to improve teaching, learning, communication, and school management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

SCHOOL WEBSITE

Responsible for the School website development and maintenance:

Collaborate with the School Administration on the development and implementation of an overall website strategy, for consistent branding and messaging, ease of use, and depth of information.
Manage the design, creation and maintenance of the School Website
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND DATA MANAGEMENT

Provide guidance to the School Administration in the implementation of technology and the data management needs of the school:

Evaluate current programs, assess needs, and prepare for future implementations.
Coordinate the implementation of the student information system and other school databases
Coordinate the accurate submission and extraction of data for school, state, and federal reporting.
TRAINING AND SUPPORT OF FACULTY & STAFF IN THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY

Provide training and ongoing support to ensure teachers are proficient in integrating technology in the classroom to improve student achievement.
Provide advice and implementation assistance to staff offices in using technology to streamline work processes.
HARDWARE & SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE

Perform all functions and procedures necessary to install and maintain all school technology systems (hardware, software and related peripherals)
Assist with the planning, design and installation of future technology system expansions as growth demands
Coordinate and maintain all technology-related vendor relationships.
Assist with other technology support-related tasks as needed
Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Demonstrated experience working with computers, mobile devices and interactive whiteboards
Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience in the configuration and administration and support of desktop/laptop operating systems in a cross platform Mac/PC environments
Excellent working knowledge of Windows XP, Win7 and Mac OS
Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
Bilingual English-French person a plus
