Description

Position Summary

The Tech Support position is the first responder to employee requests for assistance and provides triage for tech requests. This position manages configuration and distribution of hardware, coordinates repairs with vendors and maintains equipment for the classroom.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Use and administer both Apple and Windows laptops and desktops
Problem-solve and troubleshoot computer hardware and software, and related equipment such as printers, projectors and other technology devices
Utilize Windows and Apple products, Active Directory, Windows File Sharing, Network Drive Access (Google Drive, Drobox) and Mac OS iOS/Windows OS software in general
Perform basic computer repair and hardware replacement
Set up and operate Smartboard products and AV equipment Installation and Configuration
Perform Basic Printer maintenance
Complies with school policies and procedures
Performs other duties as needed

Qualifications

Education and Experience​

Bachelor's degree in information systems management or a related field
Two or more years of relevant experience
Or combination of equivalent experience, education, and training

Strong communication skills; ability to clearly and easily communicate technology related issues or information to adults and children
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to investigate, document and report on progress; excellent record-keeping skills
Team player capable of working in a school environment
Flexible
Able to evaluate and respond to the technology needs of others in the most appropriate ways for a school setting
Self-starter: Ability to see what needs to be done and work independently to get it done

Working Conditions and Environment
