Glenelg Country School is seeking a full-time Technology Support Specialist to provide technical assistance and support to Faculty and Staff. Responsibilities include general computer and printer maintenance tasks including troubleshooting and repairing school owned computer systems; using management software to deploy software and updates; install, configure and upgrade PC workstations, network hardware and cabling as required; configuration and deployment of windows operating systems using imaging software; providing technical support to end users; configuration and deployment of Virus/Malware detection removal software; managing the computer equipment on campus, and maintaining inventory and documentation.

The ideal candidate will have experience with MS Windows and MS Office; proven trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills; scripting knowledge preferred; experience with the following platforms are a plus: MS Windows 2008/2012 Server, Kaspersky Anti-Virus, Active Directory/Group Policy, Dell Kace K1000/2000 series appliances, TCP/IP/Networking and VPN's, Vmware Virtual environments, and Office 365. Knowledge of Microsoft OS, Office suite, and hardware repair is required. Must be dependable and be responsible professional with excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently. Applicants must be physically able to perform the essential functions of this position to include lifting of equipment weighing 20 pounds repeatedly and should be able to lift up to 40 pounds. MCP Certification and/or BS desired.
