River Oaks Baptist School is seeking a Technology Support Specialist beginning June 2021. This person serves as an integral member of the Technology Department and reports to the Director of Technology. 

The Technology Department is a team-oriented, collaborative work group focused on meeting the needs of students, teachers, and staff. Major areas of focus for this position include: campus-wide printer management, audio/visual support, and desktop support. As with all openings, we seek candidates eager to support our mission of preparing students to meet life's challenges and lead tomorrow's world through a superior educational program undergirded by faith in Jesus Christ and Christian principles.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily Technology Department tasks

  • Coordinate with Director of Technology on current and future technology projects

  • Maintain printers and coordinate service calls

  • Monitor print toner levels via Spiceworks Inventory

  • Manage print toner inventory

  • Manage printer configurations with PaperCut

  • Provide video recording services and basic editing to school departments as needed

  • Assist with audio/visual set-ups for Chapel services and other special programs

  • Assist with Spiceworks help desk tickets where applicable

  • Assist in the annual prepping of student devices that include over 400 iPads and 500 laptops

  • Assist other departments with special projects as approved by Director of Technology

  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area

Qualifications: 

  • A vibrant Christian faith and a desire to work in a Christian environment

  • Respect the varying needs of the children in our care who range from age two through eighth grade

  • A bachelor's degree, optional

  • Successful completion of background checks and verification

Physical Requirements and Work Environment 

  • May work at a desk and computer for extended periods of time 

  • Extensive campus-wide walking daily

  • Usually work in standard office conditions and climate  

  • Deal with a wide variety of people, challenges, and deadlines

  • Occasionally lift up to 30 pounds
