Holy Child School at Rosemont (formerly Rosemont School of the Holy Child) is a Catholic, coeducational, independent school (Early Childhood to 8th grade) located near the campuses of Villanova University and Rosemont College in the western suburbs of Philadelphia. We strive to “Nurture Excellence in a Joyful Catholic Community” and are seeking applicants for a full-time Technology Support Specialist position supporting our administrative and instructional technology. Holy Child is fully-networked with wired and wireless connectivity to accommodate 300-plus instructional and administrative computers. Our network is composed of Windows and Linux servers in a largely virtualized environment. Instructional areas are equipped with desktops/laptops/tablets, interactive projectors, sound systems and other audio visual equipment to facilitate 21st century learning. Students in grades 5-8 participate in a 1:1 Chromebook program. Two computer labs (PC and MAC), a soon-to-be-renovated library, Chromebook carts, iPads, and various other devices are available to faculty and students. Our Middle School computer lab, the MAD (Media, Arts, and Design) Lab, is a maker space where students work on programming, 3D design and printing, electronics and robotics. We are a Google Apps for Ed school and make extensive use of that suite of products.

The ideal candidate should have three-to-five years’ experience supporting technology. Experience in a school is a plus. We seek an energetic and task-oriented individual who possesses a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and/or considerable technology skills. The candidate will be expected to support the utilization of technology resources (software and hardware) for both the academic and administrative components of our campus network, and to communicate and interact effectively with students, teachers, administrators, and technology support staff.  The Technology Support Specialist will report to the Director of Technology and become part of a team consisting of the Director of Technology, the School Librarian, and one other Tech Support Specialist. This is a 12-month position beginning in June 2016. Salary and benefits are competitive and negotiable depending upon education/training and breadth of experience.

Interested candidates should email a cover letter and resume to Robin Beaver, Director of Technology, at rbeaver@holychildrosemont.org. We will begin reviewing resumes immediately. The position will begin on or about June 13.
