Devon Preparatory School, a private all boys Catholic high school in Chester County, seeks candidates for the position of Technology Support Specialist.

The Technology Support Specialist will assist in the setup, configuration, installation, and maintenance of new equipment, provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing equipment, and respond to help desk requests within certain prescribed hours. The Technology Support Specialist will need to work collaboratively with all school faculty/staff. This is a 12-month, part-time position. Salary commensurate with experience.

Job description:
  • Work with the Technology Team to install, configure, maintain all Windows and McIntosh software, hardware, laptops, peripherals, servers, network equipment, and presentation systems;
  • supervise outsourced repairs and disposals.
  • Troubleshoot, assess and resolve internet connectivity issues, and web-based phone system issues.

  • Establish and maintain cooperative and effective relationships with those contacted during the performance of required duties, including faculty, staff, students, parents and the community;

  • Be able to work independently once project parameters are defined;
  • Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action;
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing;
  • Establish and follow project timelines and meet deadlines;
  • Maintain regular attendance;
  • Display eagerness to work in a school setting.
