Technology Teacher

Dwight School is seeking a full-time Technology Teacher beginning in September 2019.

The daily responsibilities of the Technology Teacher are to:

• Teach multiple sections of design-focused technology classes in grades 6-12

• Work with faculty on the increased integration of purposeful technology in their curricula, refreshing existing curricula with innovative uses of technology where appropriate

• Develop and deliver internal academic technology training for teachers across divisions

• Model innovative technology use for other Dwight faculty members

• Mentor students through Dwight School’s Spark Tank incubator program

The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:

• Teaching experience in one or more of the following disciplines: computer science; design; engineering; library and media; technology

• Experience working in a school with a 1:1 program

• Experience with the IB Middle Years Program Technology/Design (preferred)

• Ability to work collaboratively and collegially with a diverse community of students and educators

• Ability to contribute positively to the community with patience and humor
