Dwight School is seeking a full-time Technology Teacher beginning immediately until June 2016, and can potentially continue for the 2016-2017 school year.   

 

The daily responsibilities of the Technology Teacher are to:

Teach technology classes in grades 6-12, specific grade(s) to be determined.
Continue the development of the scope and sequence of technology program from grades 1-12 in collaboration with other Technology Teachers and the Director of Technology
Work with faculty on the increased integration of purposeful technology in their curricula, refreshing existing curricula with innovative uses of technology where appropriate
Help Director of Technology develop and deliver internal academic technology training for teachers across divisions
Model innovative technology use for other Dwight faculty members
Provide first level support to students and faculty with technical issues
The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:

Experience with teaching technology in schools
Experience working with a 1:1 program with laptops and/or tablets
Experience with one or more of the following: Design thinking, Digital citizenship, Digital media, Game design, Maker projects, Media production, Programming, and/or Robotics
Experience with the IB Middle Years Program Technology/Design
Ability to contribute positively to the community with patience and humor
