Lakeside School, an independent coeducational day school located in north Seattle, Washington, is currently recruiting for a technology team administrative assistant. This will be a temporary .75 FTE overtime eligible, extended school year staff appointment, starting immediately and ending June 30, 2016.

Responsibilities

The technology team administrative assistant will coordinate nontechnical operations for the technology department at Lakeside School, and will report to the Director of Technology. General duties include coordinating routine departmental operations; purchasing; maintaining computer and electronic media inventory and budget; coordinating a helpdesk ticketing system; and maintaining a basic repair incident tracking system. Back-up technical support may also be required on occasions. Specific responsibilities include:

Coordinate helpdesk requests, including assigning tickets to the appropriate staff member;
Process equipment, supply and resource orders for the technology department;
Coordinate deployment of computers and related equipment, including receipt, identification markers, adding to inventory, and basic configuration;
Maintain data base of school computer and electronic-media related equipment;
Maintain departmental budgets;
Coordinate contractor work in installation and repair of classroom audio-visual systems;
Maintain the file of school software licenses; and
Act as backup to the performance of routine technical tasks such as computer imaging and simple software configuration.

Requirements and Qualifications

Applicants should generally have two or more years working experience in support of school based one-to-one laptop programs; two to five years of successful experience in purchasing computers and computer-related equipment; and two or more years of experience in routine office work (filing, correspondence, and task and workflow management). A bachelor’s degree is desirable but not required. Specialized experience in data-base and help-desk ticketing systems; MS Excel and Outlook software; human relations/customer service; ordering, purchasing, and inventory management; and routine hard-disk imaging will be preferred.
