Job Description Summary

Wentworth Institute of Technology is seeking candidates interested in joining the Wentworth community as a Technology Trainer & Communications Specialist . This position builds and implements communication plans to include texting, emailing, push notifications and intranet/website content for department related initiatives and announcements

Partners with, educates, and delivers programs to develop the technical capabilities of internal staff. This position is part trainer, part consultant/coach and is focused on current and anticipated business needs.

The position builds and executes curriculum and programs through collaboration with business stakeholders and the technology team. The analyst understands the changing technology climate and evaluates which competencies to introduce, transform, or retire from the university training program.

This position also provides an awareness platform through onsite training, documentation, technical seminars, and other methods to allow users to maximize software usage, workflow, features, and enhancements for daily use to increase productivity and efficiency.

Minimum Education Required 
Associate's degree, or vocational or technical school degree

Working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations.

Preferred Knowledge
Comprehensive knowledge of theories, concepts and practices and ability to use in complex, difficult and/or unprecedented situations.

Advertised Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or some college and specialized training/certification plus relevant work experience.

  • 2 – 3 years work experience

  • Proficient at Office365 applications

  • Proficient using screen recording and video editing

  • Experience with Content Management Systems.

  • Proven ability to present ideas and educational topics in multiple formats, including in-person presentations to large audiences and in writing, in business- and user-friendly language

  • Strong maturity, professionalism, and judgment. Meticulous attention to detail and organization. Openly embraces change

  • Ability to multitask, meet specific deadlines, and prioritize tasks and assignments
