Join a vibrant campus community whose excellence is reflected in its diversity and student success.  West Chester University of Pennsylvania invites applications for the position of Technology Training Coordinator, within the Division of Information Services & Technology.  The Division of Information Services & Technology serves a campus community of over 17,000 students and 1800 employees.

The Technology Training Coordinator is responsible for organizing and marketing monthly technology-skill development opportunities for faculty, staff and students including but not limited to software applications, learning technologies & related business systems,. The primary responsibilities and duties include:

  • Providing oversight for all aspects of the training office, and developing program offerings
  • Collaborating with instructional designers, subject matter experts and key stakeholders to develop and deliver one-on-one and group training offerings.
  • Conducting regular needs assessments, and identify skills or gaps that need to be addressed.
  • Serving as functional administrator of the video-based online training management system(s).
  • Developing a sequential roll-out of training activities including communication plan, to promote the training program and encourage participation, developing, including announcement, scheduling, and sign-up.
  • Developing and maintaining a web presence to share information about training and development opportunities and resources available to the WCU community.
  • Establishing and maintaining mechanisms for tracking and recording attendance and provide monthly reports.
  • Developing, distributing, analyzing and reporting survey/evaluations for all offerings.
  • Maintaining the Faculty and Staff Training (FAST) calendar to coordinate and reserve campus-training spaces.
  • Coordinating planning and support of department events, presentations and newsletters.
  • Producing training documentation and self-help materials, and assembling resource packets for each offering.
  • Ensure the training space, equipment and software needs are met for each offering.
  • Working directly with the Help Desk to develop training programs for internal staff to improve customer service, and computer literacy.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Training, or related field
  • Experience with e-learning platforms or web delivery tools
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Proven experience as a Training Coordinator, and developing training curriculum
  • Knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and OneDrive
  • Familiar with writing/editing HTML/XML code
  • Conversant in productivity applications for both Microsoft and Apple products
