Description
The Teacher, Upper School Computer Science teaches introductory engineering design, computer science, and robotics courses to 9th through 12th grade students. Current curriculum includes elective courses in digital media, Web design, and video game design. Technical courses include both VEX robotics and AP Computer Science courses.
This full-time, ten-month teaching position includes teaching five classes daily and may involve assisting with the coaching the Upper School VEX Competition Robotics team.
 
Minimum Qualifications
3-5 years of high school level teaching experience in technology or a related field preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology Education, Engineering, or a similar field required.  Masters degree preferred.
Prior experience in engineering, fabrication, project-based learning, and design work is desirable.  Strong communication skills and the ability to inspire students to innovate and create are essential.
Demonstrated ability to communicate concepts and assignments in clear, concise manner to students inspiring innovation and creativity are essential
Ability to communicate student performance to parents with tact and diplomacy
