Trinity's Upper School seeks a full-time Physics and Robotics teacher.

This full-time position involves teaching physics at both freshman and senior Advanced Physics levels, running Trinity's thriving Robotics program and possibly teaching math classes or other science classes. Versatality is helpful as our young Upper School grows.

For this position candidates should be knowledgeable about physics; be excited about the rapidly expanding STEM rsources available to educators and ways to engage teenagers with them; value Trinity's inquiry-based pedagogies for its 9th grade "physics first" classes; and value NCTM standards-based curricula and instruction and goals such as reasoning abstractly and quantitatively, modeling with mathematics, perseverance, and attending to precision.

Trinity seeks teachers who emphasize not only the mastery of procedures, but also deep understanding through exploration of problems that require complex and creative thought. Trinity is a 1:1 iPad school for grades 6-12, and the ideal candidate also will possess knowledge of and interest in instructional technologies to enhance the students' learning experiences.

Candidates should possess at minimum a bachelor's degree, preferably in physics, and delight in being with and teaching teenagers. Advanced study in this field or engineering is preferred, along with proven experience as a secondary-level teacher. In Trinity's young but fast-growing Upper School community, camaraderie, collaboration, showing up for student events, enthusiasm for Trinity's mission and pitching in for the good of each other and our students are high values. Trinity also values faculty who are involved in school life beyond the classroom and , therefore, applicants who can coach, advise a club, or otherwise enrich our vibrant community.
