BASIS.ed, the Education Management Company for some of the highest performing schools in the world, is seeking a Vice President of Information Systems (VPIS). BASIS.ed provides IT services to all BASIS Ventures subsidiaries (BASIS.ed, BASIS Independent Schools and BASIS Global) as well as to all schools it manages: BASIS Charter Schools, Independent Schools and International Schools. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President of Information Systems will oversee IT Infrastructure, Information Systems Administration, Data Analytics and Systems Development. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Systems & Capabilities Design:

Maintain, evaluate and further develop current IT systems
Lead IT strategic and operational planning and budgets to achieve the company's goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment and management of current and future IT systems across the organization
Identify business risk associated with IT solutions and services used by BASIS and ensure level of risk is quantified and mitigation plans are developed

Data Management:

Maintain, evaluate and further develop current Data systems
Manage the project evaluating possible solutions for data integration/Middleware
Manage the process of implementation of data integration solution.

Talent and Team Management:

Provide day-to-day leadership that instills our mission, core values, collaboration and BASIS Culture into the operations of the IT Division
Lead, engage and develop a high performing team within IT, setting objectives, appraising performance, planning future succession and coaching the team
Align team and resources to meet business priorities and deliver high level of service and support to all schools

Services Delivery:

Ensure systems and services delivery to schools is realized as value added enhancement to the education offered and ability to assess students' progress toward BASIS standards and goals
Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a rapidly changing, entrepreneurial work environment
Manage delivery of new / enhanced IT solutions into schools by collaborating effectively with the Schools Management team to scope and plan successful implementations and to ensure plans and processes are in place to realize target benefits of IT investments

Expert knowledge of information and data systems to quickly understand current state of and expertly manage current systems
Ability to think strategically to be able to further develop current and develop new systems
Track record of experience with management of comparable systems
Proven track record of leadership in attracting, developing and retaining talented staff who deliver results
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and with time constraints
Exhibit strong analytical skills to determine root causes of problems
Superior problem solving skills and ability to identify unique approaches to solutions to issues
Ability to make decisions using sound judgment and facts

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or other IT field; Masters preferred
5-7 years' experience in a senior IT leadership role; 12 years of experience in Information Systems
Experience in an educational environment preferred
