The Website and Student Information Manager position is responsible for maintenance of student information and updating the content of the School’s website and preparation, modification and maintenance of student records.  Additionally, the position works collaboratively with staff members on all data related activities, including updates and improvements to student information systems and associated academic processes.  Under the direction of the Director of Communications, the position is responsible for updating website content and providing website end user support.
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Student Records, Master Calendar and Student Information System
Establish and maintain student records
Input and update records in Veracross database while maintaining accurate data and information regarding students including grades, enrollment, and family data; input and maintain accurate faculty and staff database records
Prepare and maintain School’s Master Calendar
Generate and distribute reports including student progress reports and interim reports, and student information and emergency information for homerooms
Coordinate annual update of Parent Handbook and Student Directory
Process transcript and recommendation requests for PK through Grade 7
Provide support to faculty and staff on use of Veracross system; coordinate training as required
 Website Manager
Under the direction of the Director of Communications, edit and/or upload all content that is shared via the website; ensure consistency across the website including management of interactions with all creators of content to ensure quality, timeliness, and alignment of messaging.
Non-inclusive list of content managed: Calendar / Events, Links to Directory / Report Cards, photos, news stories, announcements and registration information for Summer Camp and the After School Program.
Provide support and training to all website users (parents/faculty/staff).
Ensure consistency on classroom pages.
Set up and manage website access including password reset and ensuring data privacy.

Administrative support to Head of School as requested
Assist with set-up for school functions, including monthly Board meetings, and coordinate catering as required.
Provide administrative support for school events such as Back to School Night, Corporation Meetings, etc.
Prepare and distribute general notifications to families and staff as requested.
Substitute in the Early Childhood classroom for one hour each week.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Ability to work with wide range of people – students, parents, faculty, staff
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently
Possess strong computer skills in Student Information Software, Databases, Website Management and MS Office: Excel, Word, Powerpoint
Ability to prioritize a number of projects, assimilating information with accuracy and consistent attention to detail and meet schedules and deadlines
Possess effective written and oral communication skills and organizational and interpersonal skills

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Strong knowledge and experience in content and user-support aspects for website management, knowledge of Finalsite platform a plus.
Proficiency in the use of Student Information Systems, knowledge of Veracross a plus.
3-years+ experience in an academic office or school environment.
Bachelor’s degree required.
