Almaden Country School seeks a full-time System Administrator, effective June 2015. This is a 12-month position reporting directly to the Head of School.

Position Outline:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Manage and administer the IT environment including Windows, Mac OS X and Linux OS's
● Vendor liason and manager (Veracross, Finalsite, Comcast, CDWg, various other vendors)
● Diagnose and correct day-to-day technology needs that arise among users school-wide (laptops, iPads, printers, projectors, interactive white boards)
● Test and deploy software patches and updates for Mac laptop fleet through reposado and munki tools
● Manage GAFE changes
● Staff and help lead the Tech Committee in weekly meetings; help maintain and advance the school’s Technology Plan
● Assist with new school year device preparation and management during the school year
● Finalsite website management
● Manage server and network infrastructure
● Manage help requests through an online helpdesk
● Provide and manage internal administrative and external user facing tech documentation and documentation tools
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:
● Familiarity and ability to work with Mac platform laptops and address routine system-wide maintenance and administration
● Manage the tech needs of the Windows platform servers and laptops used in the Finance Office
● Basic understanding of how databases work
● Ability to work cooperatively and patiently with teachers, Advancement office staff, school administrators, and parent volunteers
● Capacity to multitask, prioritize, and manage caseload within parameters of the assignment
● Familiarity with implementing standard troubleshooting methodologies
● Conscientious with attention to detail
PREFERRED:
• Experience working in a K-12 school environment
• Experience with training technology users of various levels
