The Opportunity:
As a key member of the team, the Innovation and Technology Coordinator participates in inspiring and facilitating curriculum design that integrates and enables a technology mindset throughout the School.
Reporting to the Associate Director, Curriculum Innovation, the successful candidate plays an integral part in the implementation and ongoing development of the Branksome Hall Strategy in Innovation and STEAM integration across curriculum and mentors, coaches and provides direction and feedback to faculty, in an effort to inspire and enable exemplary teaching, learning and assessments across the School.

Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

Build awareness and capacity for various technologies and tools throughout the Middle and Senior School through learning opportunities, role modelling, and individual support

Support the integration of technology

Provide in-class support for faculty to assist in the delivery of programming

Design and deliver professional development to faculty in the areas of STEAM

Inspire the creative process in curriculum design and planning across disciplines
-
Support the development of scope and sequences documents integrating technology, STEAM, robotics, innovation, design and the entrepreneurial mindset

Play a key role in curriculum planning and ensure articulation between PYP to MYP, Grade 8 to 9, and MYP to DP

Stay abreast of developments and best practices, research and innovations in technology integration

Collaborate with faculty to create interdisciplinary units of inquiry involving design and technology

Collaborate with IT to deliver support to the overall curriculum experience
Candidate Profile:
-
Demonstrated expertise through formal education (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering), specialized training programs, or relevant professional experience in a related technical discipline.

Ontario College of Teachers certification, or equivalent, is preferred;

Minimum three years’ teaching experience preferred;

Experience in Makerspace or STEAM is a strong asset;

Experience in and knowledge of IB MYP/DP, or as a member of the IB Educator Network (IBEN) is a strong asset;

Apple Distinguished Educator, Google for Education Certified Innovator and/or Trainer designations are considered an asset;

A relational educator who incorporates Social-Emotional Learning and emotional coaching strategies in their practice;

Experience and/or commitment to incorporating DEI principles into curriculum development and teaching practice;

Adept at leveraging technology to deliver education program and correspond with students, parents, colleagues and the community at large;

Target Hiring Range: $70,903.08 - $134,998.82 (placement on the grid is determined based on qualifications and years of eligible and related experience)
