Milton Hershey School (MHS) is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst (SSA). The Senior Systems Analyst works in a department of 20 people providing information technology capabilities to over 2,000 students and over 1,100 full-time employees. The School operates on a wide range of systems on varied platforms. The SSA role provides both analyst and developer responsibilities for MHS. The SSA plays a key role in the School's utilization of Microsoft SQL, SharePoint, PeopleSoft, Infinite Campus (student information system) and Blackbaud (alumni/admissions information system), as well as other applications.

The Senior Systems Analyst performs full software development life cycle support including planning, analysis, design, application development, implementation, UAT and maintenance of software applications for computer-based application systems. This includes major applications supporting the entire organization, as well as departmental applications. The position provides product usability, evaluation and support as well as designs, supports, maintains and secures any and all databases associated with School-wide applications with a priority placed on security considerations. This role is also a participant or overseer of a variety of technical projects to provide new applications systems or the enhancement and development of existing application systems. The SSA also coordinates systems upgrades, trains and assists end-users, and develops documentation, procedures, files, etc.     

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 8 or more years of experience in IT systems analysis and administration.
  • Exceptional skills in multi-tasking.
  • Excellent technical and non-technical communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including SSRS and SSIS, as well as Microsoft Windows Server Operating system.
  • Expert knowledge of DBMS.
  • Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and Web development platforms, such as ColdFusion, .Net (C#, C++) and PHP.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft HCM and Financials, including PeopleCode, Application Designer, Application Engine, Component Interfaces, SQR, PS Query, Application Packages, Data Mover, etc.
  • Experience with aspects of PeopleSoft security and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Infinite Campus and Blackbaud a plus.
  • Skilled in SharePoint development and administration.
  • Expert knowledge in building and deploying robust Web applications.
  • Knowledge of Object-oriented design and analysis, as well as testing and debugging techniques.
  • Knowledge of SDLC.
  • Skilled in data-modeling techniques.
  • Knowledge of database normalization techniques and transaction management systems.
