Primary Purpose:
To support teachers with the planning and integration of technology in academic settings, train and support teachers to use technology in an effective manner, and assist with curriculum development as it relates to educational technology.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification
Appropriate Teacher Certification
Master’s Degree preferred in Instructional Technology or related field

Exceptional knowledge of effective technology integration strategies

Ability to develop and deliver training to adult learners

Exceptional knowledge of effective instructional practices

Experience
Minimum of five years successful K-12 classroom teaching experience

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Instructional Program

  1. Collaborate with classroom teachers and instructional coaches to design and implement lessons and units of instruction, and assess student learning and technology instructional effectiveness.
  2. Communicate and demonstrate differentiated and personalized instructional practices designed with 21st century skills in mind that result in student growth. 
  3. Facilitate technology integration based on current research and District initiatives throughout the total instructional program.
  4. Co-teach and model integrated lessons.
  5. Conduct regular meetings with classroom teachers to plan the integration of technology into core instruction.
  6. Assist with the identification, selection, and development of resources to support learning.
  7. Instruct and support teachers with curriculum software, traditional resources, and classroom/curriculum/instructional related technologies. 
  8. Attend faculty meetings to share pertinent information relevant to instructional technology.

 

 

 

Professional Development

    9.  Plan and provide in-service training and follow-up coaching to assist classroom teachers in the use of instructional 

         technology in their classrooms.

   10.  Work with teachers individually, in collaborative teams, and/or with departments, providing practical support on a full

         range of technology integration strategies.

   11.  Observe and provide feedback to teachers on instruction related to technology integration.

   12.  Participate in district level in-service meetings and assist in the coordination of district level in-service offerings.

   13.  Continue professional growth and strengthen professional teaching knowledge, skills, and strategies through an ongoing  

         program of workshops, seminars, conferences, and/or advanced coursework.

   14.  Plan and provide staff development for teachers, volunteers, parents, paraprofessionals, administrators, and other 

         appropriate personnel as needed.

 

Professional Responsibilities

 

   15.  Encourage ongoing professional growth for all teachers through the development of a Professional Learning Network.

   16.  Maintain and promptly submit accurate, complete, and correct records and report as required by law, by grant   

         regulations, by district policy, and by administrative directives.

   17.  Establish rapport with faculty and staff.

   18.  Assist and/or provide staff development on weekends, evenings, and/or summer dates.

   19.  Work to promote productive relationships with and among school staff.

   20.  Attend and participate in all required meetings.

   21.  Uphold school rules, administrative regulations, and Board policies.

   22.  Take all reasonable and necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, and facilities.

 

Public Relations

   23.  Serve as part of a district-wide committee in developing activities and programs to disseminate information.

   24.  Maintain and model effective use of social media to promote the district-wide technology initiatives.
